Collaboration with Billy Bums

Do you remember my blog about Billy Bums and their frigging awesome bras? Well, as the internet has the habit of doing, it threw two people who live hundreds of miles away and have never met into a friendship.  It has been about 4 months since I discovered Kirsty’s bras and every single one of those days I have some form of Billy Bums undies on.  They are incredible. These bras are not only perfect for breastfeeding but for everyone – in all shapes and sizes! The bras are made with soft jersey fabric, so sizing is flexible, meaning you can confidently buy a bra that will fit comfortably without having to go to be measured at a department store, pretending to be interested in their enormous range of boring white bras first – bonus!

Anyway, I digress.  Exciting times ahead.  So a while ago Kirsty asked me to tie-dye some jersey for her to make into undies, and it was really fun!  It was a 2 stage dye – first ‘dunked and plunked’, then washed, dried, resoaked, dried again and ice dyed.  I loved the finished product, and luckily so did Kirsty.  I’m really looking forward to seeing it being made into pants and bras, and I believe they can be ordered now from the Billy Bums website if you ask very nicely.  During this time Kirsty also had the idea of sewing plain white undies, and then I would custom dye them to the customers’ specification.  Custom tie dye undies anyone?  YES PLEASE!!!!  She sent me some to test dye, and I just adore the result.  I feel so proud to be associated with such a wonderful brand and excited to be working with another kick-ass female business owner.  There will be more information when we have sorted out the details, so watch this space!

In the meantime, please feel free to spam Kirsty and me on Facebook with your favourite colour combinations.  I really can’t wait to put your tie dye ideas onto Billy Bums undies!
